My name is Shyanne Ledford and I am honored to serve as principal of Pierce Elementary School. This year will be an active, fun, and fulfilling year of learning and working together, and I couldn't be more excited to be part of the Panther Pride which boasts an energetic team of passionate teachers and support staff. I am a Kern County native originating from Bakersfield, but for the last three years I lived in Oklahoma with my husband and our 17-year-old daughter. We enjoy camping and watching movies together, and when we can, we visit family just over the the hills in Bakersfield. We love our new community here in Ridgecrest and we have been impressed by the warmth of the community, sweeping views of the sky, and of course, the humongous jets that routinely fly overhead. This year I hope to build community on campus through partnerships with all of you, and I look forward to working side by side to create a safe, positive learning environment for all students that fosters a culture of excellence.
